One might consider Scooby the gateway drug for horror fans! Despite the iconic, instantly recognizable characters and literal years worth of cartoons, the Scooby gang hasn't gotten much love from the toy industry, but Jada is about to change all that and nail down the perfect figures straight out of the gate. Wave 1 is up for pre-order now, with Shaggy, The Mummy and The Creeper leading the spine-chilling charge. Let's take a good long look before we throw money at the screen...

When someone tries to bait you into a heated conversation about your personal geekdom and starts with "Which super hero stuff do you like?" Tell them BOTH KINDS! It’s been 50 years since Jaws first terrorized audiences, and at New York Toy Fair 2025, some of the biggest names in collectibles,  toys, and floatations are making sure the Great White legend lives on! With NECA’s ultra-detailed figures, BigMouth Inc.’s thrilling pool floats, and Bandai’s immersive bath bomb experience, Jaws fans have plenty of ways to celebrate 50 years of shark-infested fun.

And the Earth belched and split open, spilling liquid hot magma upon the once lush field of daisies, and from this newly formed chasm emerged a dark figure...crawling...scratching...snarling. Pulling itself onto two monstrous legs and lifting its mutated head toward the heavens to curse a vengeful god it bellowed just ..one..word. GWARRRRRR!!! And then I went to see them play with the Dickies once, spur of the moment, in some abysmal place like Connecticut or DELAWARE and I swear they used fruit juices instead of the usual tasteless fake bloods and we tasted each other as the streams soaked us to our ragged bones. And it was a good night. Anyway, Trick or Treat Studios are FINALLY making the GWAR action figures we deserve and they were on display at NY Toy Fair 2025...

Expanding on the wildly popular Bitty Pop! toy line, Bitty City lets fans collect, build, and customize their own miniature Funko world, complete with stackable buildings, roads, rides, and scenic backdrops from their favorite franchises.

KIRBYVISION: Jack Kirby Documentary Announced

Acclaimed documentary film director, Ricki Stern (“Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work,” “UFOs: Investigating the Unknown”), has set her sights on “Kirbyvision” – a feature length documentary telling the complete and fascinating story of legendary artist, storyteller, and creator, Jack Kirby. Dan Braun and Josh Braun (“The Andy Warhol Diaries”, the Emmy-winning “Wild Wild Country”) will produce under their Submarine Deluxe production banner, a wholly owned subsidiary of Submarine, alongside Mike Cecchini, Ron Fogelman, and Chris Longo.

For those of you craving 80s nostalgia, Polyphony debuted its initial wave of blind box Garbage Pail Kids vinyl collectibles at the New York Toy Fair. For the first series, collectors will have a chance of opening one of seven delightfully disgusting mystery figures including GPK mascot Adam Bomb, bubblegum popping Joe Blow, the self-inflicting siamese twins Double Heather, fire starter Fryin’ Ryan, along with Sheepish Seth, Smelly Sally, and Pete Seat. Expect to see these figures on shelves later this year. No word on whether each figure will come with its own trading card - a mystery as juicy as a pack of 1985 gum!
